mikvah.orgMikvah.org is the premier online resource for encyclopedic information about taharat hamishpacha, mikvahs, and family purity. Find a mikvah, browse articles, watch videos, and access educational resources.
A movement four decades in the making — from the Rebbe’s 1975 campaign to a worldwide network supporting Jewish family life.
Mikvah.org was established to continue and expand the Rebbe’s global Taharas Hamishpacha campaign, launched in 1975 as part of the Rebbe’s worldwide mitzvah campaigns to strengthen Jewish life and identity.
Building on the efforts of the previous Lubavitcher Rebbeim, who consistently emphasized the importance of mikvah observance and Jewish family life, the campaign brought renewed public awareness to Taharas Hamishpacha and inspired communities around the world to prioritize mikvah education and accessibility.
In the decades surrounding the campaign’s launch, many mikvaos in North America and beyond were underused, difficult to access, or unfamiliar to younger generations.
