The mission of Chabad of Potomac is to provide each and every Jew, regardless of background or degree of commitment, the opportunity to discover the beauty of our shared heritage in a warm, welcoming and non judgmental environment. Chabad provides innovative educational and social services to the Potomac community, in a spirit of love and brotherhood. Its purpose is to improve the quality of life through reaching out and fulfilling the needs of the community through its various programs. Chabad pledges to fulfill the mandate of the Lubavitcher Rebbe by increasing in acts of goodness and kindness for all humankind; thus preparing the world for the ultimate redemption.

Chabad Shul of Potomac is a Chabad house in Potomac, led by Rabbi Mendel Bluming.

There is a synagogue on the premises.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is a Hebrew school.

Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction and a bat mitzvah club.

The center works with children with special needs.

There is a women's group.
