Chabad of Harford County is a family oriented, full service Jewish Community Center providing services for any Jew regardless of their background or affiliation. There is no charge to become a member at Chabad although donations are appreciated.
Because many Jewish people in Harford County feel like they are “the only Jew in Harford County” and “the odd one out” a few parents said “I was the one who brought Hanukkah Dreidels to the class and told them that we celebrate Hanukkah not Christmas. There are Jews and non-Jews don’t have access to further education about the Jewish people. Chabad is here to fill those needs in a non-judgmental and warm traditional atmosphere.

What they offer
Harford Chabad is a Chabad house in Bel Air, led by Rabbi Kushi Schusterman.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held.
For children there is a Hebrew school.
Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction.
They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, serves military personnel and looks after the elderly.
