Chabad of Washington Heights East

Chabad of the Heights was established in 2021 to engage students at Yeshiva university, alumni, young professionals and families living in Washington Heights, in the richness, joy, meaning and relevance of Judaism. Whether you’re modern orthodox, yeshivish, secular, unaffiliated or chassidic, life is about growing, learning and rising to ever greater heights. Chabad of the Heights is there to facilitate that growth, and make that journey exciting and fulfilling.

We’ve created a space for body and soul – Classes, One on one learning, Daily minyanim, Shabbos and Holiday meals, Farbrengens, Chassidus & Sushi, Shabbatons, Trips to the Ohel, Social events and much more. Chabad of the Heights is a home away from home, a safe place to hang out, connect with people who share your values, find a listening ear whenever you’re in need, or just to get a hot coffee and refreshments.

We don't charge membership or event fees. We solely rely on the generosity of parents, alumni and friends.

As we emerge from the worst of the pandemic, young people are thirsting for opportunities to connect with each other, meet new people and enjoy some much needed downtime from the relentless stress of study and work.
