Predicated on the Mitzvah of “V’Ahavta L’Re’a’cha Kamocha – love your neighbor as yourself,” we seek to foster a sense of Jewish identity and belonging by engaging Jewish students at their own pace and comfort level in a warm and non-judgmental environment, and by offering innovative educational programs in all areas of Jewish life.

Chabad seeks to be a home away from home for every Jew on campus. We offer a wealth of social, educational and spiritual programs for the entire Jewish community at MIT. At college, students are exposed to new ideas and experiences; Chabad seeks to ensure that students graduate as stronger and more empowered Jews.

Chabad is driven by the philosophy and spirit of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, known simply and lovingly as the Rebbe.
