Chabad of San Leandro

Welcome to Chabad of San Leandro! Established in 2019, we are a center for Jewish life and learning in the heart of San Leandro, CA. Under the dedicated leadership of Rabbi Shmaya Shusterman and his wife Sheina, Chabad of San Leandro has been a beacon of light, providing a warm and welcoming environment for Jews of all backgrounds and levels of observance.

Our mission at Chabad of San Leandro is to create a vibrant and inclusive Jewish community. We aim to provide a home where every Jew feels welcome, where tradition meets contemporary life, and where everyone can explore their heritage in a meaningful and joyous manner. We strive to enhance Jewish identity, continuity, and culture through education, spiritual growth, and social services.

Chabad of San Leandro offers a broad range of services to meet the diverse needs of our community. Our Adult Education programs provide engaging and dynamic classes on Jewish thought, law, and mysticism, catering to all levels of knowledge and interest. The Synagogue is at the heart of our community, offering regular prayer services, holiday celebrations, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere for worship.

We are proud to offer a variety of youth services. Our After School Programs and Preschool provide a nurturing environment for children to learn and grow, while the Teen Club and Children's Club offer fun and educational activities that help young people develop a strong Jewish identity. We also run a Senior Club & Study, ensuring that older members of our community remain engaged and connected.
