The South Redondo Synagogue was established in 2023, to serve the Jewish communities of Hermosa, South Redondo Beach and the Riviera. The SRS is a place where everyone is welcome, regardless of affiliation or prior level of knowledge. Its sole purpose is to create a warm, welcoming environment to explore and experience Judaism's warm and relevant spiritual inspirations in a non-judgmental and inviting atmosphere.
Since its inception, The SRS strives to meet the needs of the community with religious services, and social events, as well as a wide array of diverse programs.
The SRJC is a local, independent and financially self-supporting entity. Every dollar that we receive comes from the generosity of people like you. We are a 501(c)(3) organization and your donations are fully tax deductible.

What they offer
Chabad of Hermosa and South Redondo is a Chabad house in Redondo Beach, led by Rabbi Mendel Mintz.
Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held.
Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction and a young professionals' circle.
They officiate at funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.
The center visits patients in hospital, looks after the elderly and provides humanitarian aid.
There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
