Chabad of Ojai is dedicated to increasing the awareness, knowledge and observance of Judaism in the Ojai Valley area. Our purpose is to reach out to all Jews, regardless of age, affiliation or level of observance, and offer the joys of Judaism. At Chabad of Ojai we offer Jewish education and the opportunity to experience firsthand the vitality and relevance of Torah true Judaism as it is lived today.

What they offer
Chabad of Ojai is a Chabad house in Ojai, led by Rabbi Mordy Nemtzov.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Kosher meals are available on a meal plan. A kosher store is run here. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.
For children there is a Hebrew school, after-school programmes and a children's club.
Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction, a bar mitzvah club and a bat mitzvah club.
They officiate at circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly, works with children with special needs, provides humanitarian aid and runs a free loan fund.
There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here. The building is wheelchair accessible.
