Chabad of La Jolla, a branch of the worldwide Chabad-Lubavitch movement, has been a cornerstone of Jewish life in La Jolla, California since its founding in 2001. Under the dedicated leadership of Rabbi Baruch Shalom Ezagui, his wife Esther, and their six children, Chabad of La Jolla has grown into a vibrant hub for Jewish education, community, and spirituality.
At Chabad of La Jolla, our mission is to provide a warm and welcoming environment for Jews of all backgrounds and levels of observance. We are committed to fostering a strong sense of community through educational, cultural, and social activities, guided by the principles of love and kindness. Our goal is to inspire and engage every Jew in La Jolla and beyond, enhancing their Jewish identity and experience.
Our Hebrew School offers a comprehensive and immersive Jewish education for children. With a focus on Hebrew reading, Jewish history, and traditions, we strive to make learning engaging and enjoyable. Our dedicated teachers provide a nurturing environment where students can develop a strong Jewish identity and love for their heritage.
Tzivos Hashem of La Jolla is our youth program designed to instill Jewish values and pride in children through fun and interactive activities. It encourages young Jews to embrace their heritage and take an active role in their community.

Chabad of La Jolla is a Chabad house in La Jolla, led by Rabbi Baruch Shalom Ezagui.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held.
For children there is after-school programmes and a mother-and-child group.
Older children and young adults have a teen club and bar and bat mitzvah instruction.
They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.
